Gill College captain: Evert Joubert
Gill College will be hoping to make it three wins in a row when they take on Hoerskool Cradock in an FNB Classic Clash.
Captain Evert Joubert knows it will be a hard match but looks forward to the encounter as his side have only lost one match this season.
The 18-year-old is in his second year of representing the first XV and strong performances saw him being selected to participate in the 2014 Craven Week.
"Playing in the Craven Week was a very enjoyable experience where I got to compare myself with the best players in the country," he said.
Joubert loves a physical game knowing that one of his strengths is in his domination of the contact area. Despite being in the thick of the action, he remains focused during a match so that he is able to make smart decision and feels that he has been 'spot on' where that is concerned.
The flanker strongly believes in leading by example after being granted the honour and privilege to captain the first XV.
"You can't expect your team mates to do something you can't do yourself," he stated.
Gill College will field a balanced team which consists of a blend of youth and experience and Joubert is hoping that his side will stick to their game plan and keep things as simple as possible.
Joubert is proof that not all rugby players are all brawn and no brains as the matriculant will be studying Industrial Engineering at NWU-Pukke next year.
