Glenwood proved too strong for Framesby

Glenwood went into the game as slight favourites due to previous results against Framesby.

However, the host started the game at a slow pace with a lot of stop-starts due to handling errors.

As the first-half continued Glenwood started to show their skills and abilities.

The first try of the game was scored by outside centre,Maarten Holtzhausen.

Holtzhausen added the extra points as he converted his own try to give Glenwood a 7-0 lead.

It wasn't long before Framesby hit-back with three successive converted penalties by the fullback, Riaan Van Rensburg.

This took the score to 9-7 in favour of the men from the Eastern Cape.

After conceding 9 points, Glenwood started to flex their muscles and show their strength.

The lock, Kevin Smit went over under the poles - which insured an easy conversion for Maarten Holtzhausen- and Glenwood led by 14-9.

Glenwood with a smart kicking-game and running-line managed to put Framesby under pressure.

Which resulted in three successive penalties, all in fairly easy kicking proximity for Maarten Holtzhausen.

Holtzhausen made no mistake in corveting all three giving Glenwood the half-time lead of 23-9.

In the second-half the game really opened up for Glenwood.

The first try of the second-half went to the No.8, Marco Palvie. Creating a clean line break and finishing off his individual effort under the poles.  The try was converted by Maarten Holtzhausen, giving his team the lead of 30-9.

Slick movement between Glenwood's backline and forwards gave flanker, Austin Brummer an easy untouched run to score a try, this too was  converted by Maarten Holtzhausen, Glenwood stretched their lead to 37-9.

Glenwood ran in another four tries; two belonged to Gideon Lubbe (wing), JC Conradie (centre) and Maarten Holtzhausen.

All tries were converted by Maarten Holtzhausen.

Glenwood celebrated a 65-9 victory over Frameby on the Dixons Field.
