HTS win in Potch
HTS Potchefstroom beat Potchefstroom Boys' High 19-12 in Saturday's FNB Classic Clash.
This victory is HTS's first since 1910 and follows a draw and two Boys' High victories. The wait made the excitement of victory all the greater before a large crowd on a perfect autumn day at HTS Potchefstroom. That the game was close made it all the more exciting and the victory for the home team all the sweeter.
Outside centre Alex Meyer started off their scoring with a try under the posts, which flyhalf Katleho Leokaoke converted and early in the second half right wing Ollie Nokana scored under the posts, again converted by Katleho Leokaoke. Three minutes later hooker Kagiso Tshakane scored in the corner. That ended HTS's scoring with 24 minutes still to play.
