Kwaggas dominate Struisies again

Hoërskool Outeniqua continued their dominance over Hoërskool Oudtshoorn when they emerged 70-12 winners in their Classic Clash on Monday.

There was a festival atmosphere in the air for the 50th interschools’ game between the two sides. The pavilion was packed and everybody enjoyed the march and Outeniqua’s cry with the cheerleaders.

The Kwaggas were completely dominant in the first half scoring five tries without reply to lead 33-0 at half-time.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Kwaggas scored another seven tries to take their tally up to 12 for the game.

The Struisies were able to cross the whitewash on two occasions, but the damage had already been done. Outeniqua completely dominated all phases of the game and was totally in control from the beginning. Oudtshoorn tried their best and never gave up, but Outeniqua had too much skill and power.

Kwaggas' captain Niel Otto said: "This was a great match for our first team. We stuck to the game plan and everybody gave their best for the Kwaggas I am very proud of my team."

Kwaggas' coach and team manager Piet Cloete said: "I am very proud of the team. They gave their best for the school. Everyone played accordingly to our game plan and all the boys showed big hearts and commitment. Congratulations to the Struisies for trying their best."
