Langenhoven captain: Werner Heunis

Langenhoven will head to Punt in the hope of picking up a victory on their rivals' home ground for the first time since 2010.

Captain Werner Heunis believes his charges will be successful in their quest if the young first XV play together as a team as he knows Punt will throw everything they have at them and won't stop fighting until the final whistle has gone.

Werner is in his second year of representing the first XV and is not only proud to be the captain but also described it as being an enormous honour.

The 18-year-old hooker has the support of his team-mates when it comes to making crucial decisions on the field as he prefers making those decisions after doing some consulting.

"My team supports the decisions I make. I also ask them for their opinions and that is what makes me a good leader," he said.

The young side currently has three key players who will miss the match because of injury but will be hoping for favourable results in the final few games of their season after starting the year on a poor note.

"We started the season badly but it's not about how you start, it's about how you finish," he added.

The matriculant is hopeful that by beating Punt, they can qualify for the semifinal stage of Die Burger's middle school tournament and hopefully go on to win it in order to end their season on a high.
