Noord-Kaap's Rugby Day

On Saturday, 21 March 2015, Hoërskool Noord-Kaap is holding a rugby day with teams from Landboudal in Jacobsdal, Adamantia of Kimberly, like their hosts and Hopetown.

The matches are being played at the Pirates ground in Kimberley, formerly the ground of a club founded in 1884 by members of the cast of the Pirates of Penzance.

Noord-Kaap, year in and year out one of the strongest rugby schools in South Africa, are strong again this year. So far they have played and won four matches, beating Lichtenburg 60-7, Klerksdorp 33-5, strong Welkom Gim 36-26 and, in Cradock last week, Marlow 28-22.

Against Marlow the 1st XV, Under-16 A, Under-15A and Under-14A all won. Only the 2nd XV lost.
