North vs South: Results

SCHOOL FESTIVAL: Garsfontein is hosting the North-South Rugby Festival, which started on 15 March 2019.

In the first round of seven 1st XV matches over 400 points were scored.

It is essentially a case of Northvaal versus the Rest. Of the first 1st XV matches, one was drawn, North won three and South won three. Honours even.

Two of the winners, Grey College and Paarl Gim, perennially so powerful had to battle for the victories which look more comfortable than they perhaps were. Gimmies and Monnas were level at 29-all when the Paarl side ran in two tries.

Menlopark of Pretoria actually led the great Grey College 22-14 but in the second half Grey scored 45 points.

Dr EG Jansen won comfortably against Durbanville who were at the tournament for the first time. For the rest there were good match-ups.
