Outeniqua in big FNB Classic win
Match report
Hoërskool Outeniqua of George, the Kwaggas, beat Hoërskool Oudtshoorn, the Struisies, 38-13 in their annual Interschools in George on Saturday, this year an FNB Classic Clash.
It was a most convincing victory. Outeniqua's much bigger and heavier pack of forwards laid the foundation for good ball possession which the backs enjoyed, especially in the second half. It was especially in the scrums and rucks that the Kwaggas gave the Struisies a hiding while the backs were able to break through regularly.
The Kwaggas scored six tries to a penalty try for the Struisies.
For Outeniqua eighthman Joshua de Klerk, flank William Jacobs, centre Ignus Prinsloo and wing Johan Heunis played particularly well.
