Pacaltsdorp captain: Shaun Booysen
Everything will be on the line when Pacaltsdorp host George High in an FNB Classic Clash as both sides have won four matches after playing each other eight times.
Captain Shaun Booysen believes the stakes are high with bragging rights on the cards and expects his opponents to throw everything they have at their hosts.
The matriculant is currently in his second year of playing in the first XV and leads the team, from the back of the scrum, with a simple philosophy: Lead the team to success.
Pacaltsdorp has had a good season thus far and will be hoping to claim bragging rights over their rivals despite having a fairly inexperienced team.
"We have lost a few players and that had a huge impact on the team's spirit and the players' confidence. There are some players who are inexperienced but the only way to get experience is to play and learn some or other day," he said.
The eighth man has full belief his captaincy will lead his team to victory as he knows how to lead the team in difficult situations which requires motivation to play until the final whistle has blown.
Booysen knows his team's strength and have told them to play with the ball in hand and not without the ball.
"We should stay as a unit because unity brings the team together and it brings power. Good discipline will also help us in the game," he said.
The 18-year-old is hoping he attend NMMU next year and represent the institution in the Varsity Cup.
