Percy Davids - Captain of Kasselsvlei

Kasselsvlei are very excited for Saturday's FNB Classic Clash against near-neighbours, Bellville South. So says their captain - and flanker - Percy Davids.

"The whole community comes together for a game like this," says Percy.

"For instance, I know the captain of Bellville South, Ralton Booysen, very well as we live close to each other.

"We're very excited for this match, and have worked very hard at our various training camps, and I'm sure Bellville South are excited too."

According to Percy, his team's real strength lies in their backs division.

And with plenty of speed and skill at their disposal, the wide men need to take any opportunities which come their way in a game which should be very close - based on the recent scorelines of 15-13 (both in 2011 and 2010).

"It's all about taken your chances," says Percy, who weighs 75 kilograms and stands 1,72 metres in height.

Percy will line up at No.6 for Kasselsvlei, playing as their fetcher which will see him in direct competition with opposition skipper, Ralton Booysen (despite him wearing the No.7 shirt).

Davids intends on studying at the Peninsula Technikon next year - he would like to be an electrician - and he is also hoping to play rugby once he leaves school.

A massive Stormers fan, Percy's favourite rugby player is Force and Wallabies openside flanker David Pocock.
