Preview: Kearsney Easter Rugby Festival 2019, Day 2

Expect Thrills and Spills at Kearsney Festival, Day 2

Noord-Kaap, which kicks off today’s play at 09.30, could be closely contested, provided the Kimberley side wins sufficient ball.

This is followed by Transvalia against Pretoria Boys High. The latter beat Kearsney relatively easily; while the Transvalians impressed against DHS. Again, a close, tough contest could be in the offing today.

Hosts Kearsney follow against Framesby and, unless the local boys improve on their first showing, they could face another heavy defeat against a team that did well to come from behind to draw against Welkom Gimnasium. The latter then play against HTS Drostdy and here the battle could be up front, with heavy forwards in both sides determining the winner.

The penultimate match sees DHS against Dr EG Jansen at 14.30. On Thursday’s showing, the Boksburg side should run out comfortable winners. The day ends with the Selborne-Glenwood showpiece, which kicks off at 15.45.

Entry is R25 per person with ample secure parking. Food and refreshment outlets, a coffee shop and KidZone will ensure a day of entertaining rugby and fun for the whole family.
