Preview: Northern Suburbs Derby
On Saturday, in an FNB Classic Clash, Hoërskool Tygerberg of Parow play Hoërskool Brackenfell, the Tiere against the Brakke, in Parow.
It's a big occasion, starting with golf at the Parow Golf Club on Monday, Table tennis, chess and target shooting on Tuesday, crosscountry on Wednesday, a Groot Brag on Thursday, netball and hockey (boys and girls) on Friday and then rugby on Saturday. Win the 1st XV match and you have won the interschools.
Tygerberg have tended to dominate the rugby at 1st XV level but this year they have not been having a season of their usual standard and Brackenfell may be in with a chance.

Experience
Last year Tygerberg just one and they have three players back from that team - Morné Kotze, who was a flyhalf last year and is at inside centre this year, scrumhalf TJ Goddard and Shaun-Michael Hale.
Last year Brackenfell just lost and they have eight players back from that side -wing Arno du Plessis, inside René Gericke, who was a flyhalf last year, eighthman Johan Muller, flanks Morné Swart and Luvuyo Mose, lock Hendrik Joubert, tighthead Chris van Romburgh and hooker Tyron Visagie.
That suggests a possible edge for the Brakke.
