Rampant Muir defeat keen Pearson

Six tries to nil

A rampant Muir recorded a resounding 57-3 defeat over a keen  Pearson side in Uitenhage. The half-time score was 31-3 to Muir.

The match started with Pearson looking to keep play amongst the forwards and take Muir on up front, but this plan was soon to change as the Muir forwards stood up to the onslaught and Brendon Meyer, Jason Camon, Darren Bellingham and Charl Du Toit disrupted Pearsons plan considerably by winning a feast of loose and turn-over ball up front. The  possession won by the Muir forwards gave their backline some excellent running opportunities and they took full advantage, by keeping the Pearson backline on their back foot, with tactical overhead kicks and midfield breaks.

The Muir backline looked full of running and took advantage of possession they received and carried out some delightful backline interplay moves that kept the spectators well entertained.  Flyhalf, Siviwe Konki marshalled the backline moves and kept the Pearson backline at bay with some good breaks and tactical kicking. This lead to the backline scoring all the tries for Muir.  Damien Dennis, Sisethemba Mali 2, Siviwe Konki2, Phiwe Lalendle2 and Curtis Young scored tries for Muir. Captatin, Brendon Meyer added 17 points with the boot via seven conversions and one penalty.

Credit must go to the young  Pearson team that never gave up and  they must be commended for trying hard throughout the match.
