Saints: Day 1 Review
The day was a success with over 40 schools and over 1 000 players competing against each other.
We were happy to have Francois Pienaar in attendance on Thursday. He was at the festival to support his son who cazptains the Bishops team.
The day saw teams from Botswana, Zimbabwe, and from across South Africa face off in basketball, hockey, netball, rugby, squash, and tennis. Today, the Cross Country fixtures will begin.
In rugby, Grey High School, St Andrew's College, St Stithians Boys' College, Bishops and St Alban's College finished the day with wins over their opponents while Michaelhouse and Wynberg Boys' High tied their game.
In basketball, Pretoria Boys' High, CHISZ U19 and U17, Heideveld High School, St Stithians Boys' College all enjoyed various victories during the course of the day.
In netball, Diocesan School for Girls in Grahamstown, Bryanston High School, Trinity House High School, the Saints festival team, St Peter's College, Northcliff High School, Krugersdorp High School, St Stithians Girls' College, Reddam House School, St Cyprian's School all enjoyed various victories over the course of the day.
