Schools Top 20 - August 11
There were some interesting results amongst the playing schools, including Affies' record win, a big win for Selborne over Dale and Garsfontein's win over Nelspruit. The surprise was KES' victory over Jeppe in a match where Jeppe were dominant but KES scored the tries.
Spare a thought for Heidelberg's Volkies who narrowly lost to the strong Potchefstroom Gim side, just a second defeat for Volkies this year.
The upshot is promotion for Affies, Dr EG Jansen, Boland Landbou, Garsies and Potchefstroom Gim.
There is annual concern about missing players because of the SA Schools sides but being without players happens throughout the year. Teams are often without players for various reasons.
