Schools Top 20 - May 27

There was not the big earthquake of recent times as all of the top six schools teams won this week.  

Our top side Grey College won the battle in the rain against Paarl Boys' High who came so close to being the first team to beat the Bloemfonteiners this year.

The first shake-up was to Menlopark who lost to Garsies, their third successive defeat to drop from seventh to tenth.

Glenwood beat Maritzburg College and go up a place. Even though Paarl Boys' High lost, they played so well and the nature of other happenings means that they are up a place.

The promotion of Paul Roos is a similar though, despite absences, they beat Rondebosch.

Grey PE had a strong win over Wynberg and the two swap places.

Like Boishaai Nelspruit lost but again they played well.

Oakdale are the big beneficiaries this week. They were in the pressure group down below but they beat Outeniqua and so are promoted onto the Top 20.

Kearsney did not play this week and so they drop off into the pressure group.

Jim Fouché were well beaten by Louis Botha and drop off that group.

At the moment there is pressure on these from Bishops, Centurion, Dale, Jeppe, Kearsney, Louis Botha, Kempton Park, Michaelhouse and Framesby.
