St John's Easter Festival Results

St John's Easter Festival got going on Thursday,on  a brisk autumn morning on the Highveld.

Teams kicked off on the first day of play in perfect weather conditions with crowds walking between the St John’s and KES Festivals, to watch matches of their choice.  The weather prediction is rain in late afternoon.

The master of ceremonies, Arnold Geerdts of TV fame, set the tone for a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

Traditionally the first day of the Festivals is quiet, prior to the Easter week-end.  Saturday when the Festival is officially opened, is expected to be exciting and busy.

In the first match Zimbabwean visitors, St John's of Harare just beat New Orelans of Paarl.
