Saturday was a miserable day in Pietermaritzburg - drizzle, wind and a slippery field - as unlike Thursday as could be.
Grey College vs Monument, 13-8
Much of this match was played in pouring rain and the Witbulle of Krugersdorp became a pale shade of gray.
At half-time Monnas led 8-7 but with 17 minutes to play Grey were up 13-8. Those last 17 minutes belonged almost entirely to Monnas who hammered at the Grey line, opting for tries ahead of goalable penalties. It made for a thrilling match.
