No injury scares for Kings

There is some postive news for the Kings - Charles Marais, Elgar Watts and Jaques Engelbrecht are all back in training after recovering from their injuries.

Marais has recovered from surgery to his right knee, and will possibly be considered for their next match against the Lions.

Loose forward Engelbrecht has been struggling with a left hip pointer injury but seems to be on the brink of a return to the Kings team.

Flyhalf Watts has overcome the thigh injury that has sidelined him for a number of weeks.

Playmaker George Whitehead is still out with a knee injury and is expected back in four weeks.

Shane Gates has a fractured fifth meta-tarsal on his right foot and may be out for three to four weeks.

David Bulbring, Aidon Davis and Gary van Aswegen are still out with long-term injuries.

Bulbring had an operation for a right shoulder dislocation and may return to training in six weeks.

Davis was operated on for a PCL / LCL tear of his right knee, and will miss the rest of the season. He is expected to return in eight months.

Van Aswegen had a knee operation last week and is still awaiting the orthopaedic report.
