Bulls fullback handed one-week suspension

Matthews was cited for transgressing Law 10.4 (e) in the Blue Bulls' match against Western Province in Cape Town on Saturday, which the Pretoria side lost 45-34. 

His disciplinary hearing took place on Tuesday.

The Bulls have lost their last two games in the Currie Cup and they are currently sitting in fourth position in the standings.

After their match against the Cheetahs, the Bulls face Pumas and Griquas before they enjoy bye on the weekend of September 8/9.
