Daniel bemoans costly errors against WP

Province outscored the Sharks by five tries to two in their Currie Cup coastal derby at Newlands at the weekend.

The match, played in cloudy and cool conditions with a swirling wind, was hugely physical, intense and competitive.

However, the 31-year-old Daniels believes his side weren't good enough.

"We had opportunities and we didn't use them, now we will need to reflect hard on this game," Daniels said.

"We committed too many errors and we weren't composed.

"We just couldn't get into the game.

"You have to play good rugby if you want to beat Province and we weren't good enough."

Daniel was comfortable with the team's set-piece performance.

"There were times, I thought, the set pieces were okay and then one or two calls just didn't go our way," the Sharks skipper said.

The Sharks' next Currie Cup encounter will see them hosting the Free State Cheetahs in Durban on Saturday, September 10.
