Bulls have 'new' coach

The Blue Bulls management repaid Currie Cup coach Pine Pienaar for the poor results of the past few years by knocking down a few pegs on the ladder.

Following a strategic meeting by the board of the Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd, it was decided that the Bulls' Super Rugby coach Frans Ludeke will continue in a similar position with the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup.

Pienaar, currently the defence coach with the Super Rugby team, will continue in the same position in the Currie Cup competition.

"We will confirm the make-up of the rest of the management team for the Blue Bulls in due time," Barend van Graan CEO of the Blue Bulls Company said.

Kicking coach Vlok Cilliers is also not employed full-time by the union anymore.

He has helped the Bulls' kickers since 2005, but his contract was not renewed at the end of 2013.

He only works with the team on a consultancy basis.
