Charging Rynhardt faces hearing

Western Province forward Rynhardt Elstadt will appear before a SARU disciplinary committee for charging dangerously into a ruck against the EP Kings last Friday.

Elstadt came off the bench in Province's 49-14 demolition of the Kings at Newlands in Round Five of the Currie Cup.

Province remain undefeated in the competition but face a sterner test against the Golden Lions this weekend in Johannesburg.

Elstadt received a yellow card for the incident in the 57th minute, which was in breach of Law 10.4 (h).

The Law states that a player must not charge into a ruck or maul without the use of the arms or without grasping a player.

The hearing will be officiated by Advocate Rob Stelzner.
