'It doesn't look good': Stormers playmaker to miss URC Final
NEWS: The Stormers are set to be without one of their playmakers for the United Rugby Championship Final against Munster next weekend.
In Friday's Currie Cup match against the Pumas in Athlone, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu left the field in the first half and it is believed that he has fractured his hand.
It's a blow for the Stormers as Dobson admitted the youngster was going to play a role in the URC Final.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu was involved off the bench in the Stormers' semifinal win over Connacht and he was set to play a similar role against Munster.
"It doesn’t look very good. It is his hand," Dobson told reporters after the Currie Cup match.
"I think he has gone for X-rays and it might be a fracture."
Dobson said the 21-year-old, who started in the No.12 jersey against the Pumas, needed some game time ahead of the Final
"He was probably going to be involved next week, which is a bit of a blow, but he needed to play.
"I am not beating ourselves up.
"He didn’t play much last week. It was only six or seven minutes I think, so we needed to play him.
"I don’t know where that leaves us [in terms of replacements]."
Dobson did mention Jean-Luc du Plessis and Clayton Blommetjies as options for cover for the URC Final.
Du Plessis was also on the bench for the semifinal against Connacht and he looks set to provide cover for Manie Libbok again next weekend.
