Kok to help WP's cause?

Kok, who was named World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year for 2015, linked up with the WP squad last week.  

Dobson said Kok will be fast-tracked into the team as the Cape side are still without a win in this year's campaign after losses to the Blue Bulls and the Free State Cheetahs. 

Kok is seen as a long-term option in the midfield, while the wing is another position where is likely to play.

"I think he would start on the wing, but in the long term over the season he is a candidate for No.13 and he played No.12 at school I think," Dobson told reporters at the team's High Performance centre in Bellville.

"I don't think we are going to hang around too much with him. He has got an amazing work ethic and professionalism. You can see in Sevens how tough he is."

Meanwhile, fullback Cheslin Kolbe could soon be running out in the No.10 jersey in the next few games.

There is a lot of talk about Kolbe being given a chance in the No.9 jersey as well, but Dobson admitted that flyhalf is a problem area in his team and he will be looking to give 22-year-old some game time at No.10.

"I am actually more interested to see him [Kolbe] as a flyhalf. 

"If you saw what Beauden Barrett did to Australia on Saturday, you could see Koble doing just the same. I think at scrumhalf you just don't get the space.

"Flyhalf is till position we are not certain of at the moment. We are not going to win the Currie Cup if we change our flyhalf every second week. We have to make a call now and it is quite an important decision," Dobson added. 

WP have no new injury concerns after their 25-32 loss to the Cheetahs last week. They will also be welcoming back Oliver Kebble and Daniel du Plessis from the sidelines.
