Lambie 'unlikely' to play again this year

Lambie has been out of action since May 13 when he collided with teammate Rhyno Smith during the Sharks' 32-35 defeat to the Southern Kings.

There has been concerns about Lambie's future in the game, especially after his massive collision with Ireland's Christiaan Stander in June last year – which sidelined Lambie for four months.

"At this stage, we are awaiting medical advice, with no final decision taken at this stage, but it does seem unlikely that he will play for the remainder of this year," the Sharks told rugby365.

"He is currently under the supervision of our medical team and is continuing with his rehab.

"As soon as a decision has been taken, further information will be released."

The Sharks take on the Bulls at Kings Park on Friday.
