Lions tweak team for Pumas clash

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Lions head coach Ivan van Rooyen has revealed his team to face the Pumas at Ellis Park on Friday.

There is one change to the starting XV that lost 21-40 to the Bulls in Pretoria.

Sibusiso Sangweni will get a starting berth in the No.6 jersey due to an injury that forced Roelof Smit to leave the field early in last week’s match at Loftus Versfeld.

Van Rooyen has also tweaked his bench with scrumhalf Morne van den Berg coming in to take over the No.21 jersey, which Sangweni wore last week.

The Lions enter the match sitting bottom of the Currie Cup standings with 14 points.

The Pumas are currently in fifth place on 15 points.
