Sharks lock in more Springboks
CONTRACT NEWS: The Sharks continued locking in their high-profile internationals - including two Springboks.
Springboks Sibusiso Nkosi and Curwin Bosch had their names added to the list of players who extended their stay in the Shark Tank.
As has become custom, the Durban-based franchise made the announcement on social media.
Nkosi signed on till 2022 and Bosch till 2023.
The Bok duo joins players like Sanele Nohamba, Jeremy Ward, BlitzBok star Werner Kok, Makazole Mapimpi, Lukhanyo Am and Sikhumbuzo Notshe as part of a spree of confirmed re-signings.
Nkosi, 24, was a member of the World Cup-winning Bok squad in Japan last year - featuring in the games against Namibia, Canada and Wales.
He has played more than 50 games for the Sharks in the Currie Cup and Super Rugby, since making his debut in 2016.
Bosch, 23, missed the World Cup cut and has featured just twice for South Africa - against Argentina in 2017 and Wales in 2018.
He has featured in 80-odd games for the Sharks since 2016 and was in superb form during the 2020 Super Rugby season - before the tournament was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Sharks also revealed the signing of a host of youngsters, including Dan Jooste from Western Province.
