Sharks lure Bulls' Baby Bok to Durban
TRANSFER NEWS: The Sharks have taken advantage of the uncertainty in Pretoria to lure a Junior Springbok to Durban.
Ruben van Heerden, the 20-year old Bulls lock, has joined the Sharks on a three-year contract.
The announcement comes on the same day that the departure of head coach John Mitchell was announced. Mitchell; is taking over as defence coach with England.
Last year was a breakthrough year for the 116kg lock, who not only represented the South African Under-20 side, but he also made his Super Rugby debut.
"Ruben is a talented young lock and a great acquisition for the Sharks," coach Robert du Preez said.
"He is a natural athlete and has all the attributes needed to be a great lock.
"We welcome him to our Sharks family."
