Super Sarel on Cheetahs' bench

Sarel Pretorius, back from his stint with the Waratahs in Sydney, will be on the bench for the Free State Cheetahs on Saturday.

The Cheetahs face the Cardiff Blues in a pre-season friendly at Grey College in Bloemfontein.

Pretorius, who struggled to hold down a starting spot in a Waratahs team going from bad to worse in the latter stages of the season, will feature for the Cheetahs in the Currie Cup competition this season - before possibly returning for a second Super Rugby season with the Tahs.

Pretorius is not the only high-profile player back on the Cheetahs' roster.

Fullback Hennie Daniller makes his return to the starting line-up this weekend, after suffering a fractured hand back in May and sitting out the remainder of the Super Rugby season.

The Cheetahs team features a host of regular Super Rugby players - including 2009 Springbok tourist Davon Raubenheimer, who signed with the Cheetahs from Griquas this year.

Add in names like Robert Ebersohn, Barry Geel, , Riaan Smit, Piet van Zyl, Kabamba Floors, Izak van der Westuizen and captain Adriaan Strauss and the Blues will have their work cut out.
