Castragiovanni behavior hurt his club

Castrogiovanni was suspended by the French side after his illicit trip to Vegas last weekend when he should have been in Nottingham to support his team in the European Champions Cup semi-final against Leicester.

Not picked for that game he had told Racing 92 he had to return home to Argentina on family business, however he was caught out when PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic posted photographs of him in the Nevada casino city on his Instagram account.

Racing's forward coach Laurent Travers commented in Castrogiovanni's behavior:"He hurt the club and his teammates, and in some ways, he has hurt the entire staff,"

Once the photos surfaced of shirtless Castrogiovanni Racing took swift action, suspending the player and opening legal proceedings against him.

"He broke a number of established rules and when you speak about rules, you are also talking about rigour and respect," Travers said.

The 34-year-old joined Racing in 2013 from Toulon where he had played only sporadically. This was not the first time that Castrogiovanni find himself in hot water.

Travers reflected: "When we took him we knew very well his situation, his difficulties. We can't say that we weren't aware.

"It's a challenge that we had between us and him," he added.

Sadly for Castrogiovanni - what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas.
