Hartley on course for another landmark

He will be doffing his cap for 50 tournament appearances.

Hartley is one of three players due to reach the magical 50 game mark this weekend - joining clubmate Steve Myler and Leinster's towering Irish international lock, Devin Toner.

They are all due to feature in the Pool Four clash at Franklin's Gardens on Friday.

Hartley made his European debut for the Saints a decade ago in a 37-13 home win over Border Reivers.

He has scored three tries in his 49 games to date and led the side for six seasons, including into the 2012 Final against Leinster at the Millennium Stadium.

Myler is Saints' leading European Cup points scorer on will be looking for the two he needs to reach 350 when he faces Leinster.

He also made his debut 10 years ago, in a win over Rugby Parma.

Toner has three European Cup winners' medals to his credit and made his debut in 2008.

He was a 58th-minute replacement for current head coach Leo Cullen in the 2012 Final against Saints.
