Cheetahs 'warm up' against Sharks for Euro trip
NEWS: The Cheetahs will face the Sharks in a pre-season warm-up game on Friday, November 18.
The game is in preparation for the Cheetahs' debut in the European Challenge Cup.
Friday's warm-up match against the Sharks will take place at Kings Park, in Durban.
There is a second warm-up match next Friday, November 25, when they will play against the Griffons in Welkom.
The Cheetahs will be making their Challenge Cup debut this season.
They started their preparations with the Challenge Series against an Ireland Development XV, the United States Falcons, Griquas and the Bulls.
The Cheetahs will be based in Europe for the duration of their Challenge Cup campaign.
They depart on December 5.
They will kick off their Pool B campaign with a trip to Section Paloise (better known as Pau) in France on December 10, before they host Scarlets in Round Two, a week later in Parma, Italy.
They will then travel to Llanelli to face the Welsh region Scarlets on January 13 and entertain Pau to round off their pool stage fixtures on January 20.
The Cheetahs will play their two home Pool B games at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in Parma, Italy.
One of the conditions of participation in the Challenge Cup is that the Cheetahs are based in Europe.
