O'Gara tops Euro citings
Munster flyhalf Ronan O’Gara is one of three players who will face a disciplinary hearing on Thursday after being cited in Round Five European Cup and European Challenge Cup matches.
O’Gara is alleged to have kicked Edinburgh lock Sean Cox during the second half of the match at Murrayfield on Sunday.
Under the IRB Sanctions for Foul Play, the alleged offense carries a low-end entry point of four weeks, a mid-range entry point of eight weeks and top end entry point of 12 to 52 weeks.
Racing Metro centre Fabrice Estebanez is alleged to have struck Saracens wing David Strettle with his arm during the first half of the match at Stade de la Beaujoire while Stade Francais’ Juan Cruz Guillemain is alleged to have head-butted Grenoble flank Fabien Alexandre during the second half of the European Challenge Cup match at Stade Lesdiguieres.
