Redpath praises stylish Gloucester
Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath praised his side for rounding off their Heineken Cup campaign in style after beating the mighty Toulouse 43-24 at Kingsholm on Friday night.
The Cherry and Whites were already out of the running for a quarterfinal spot before Friday night's clash against four-times Champions and pool leaders Toulouse.
But the English side upset the odds at Kingsholm, producing a stunning display to beat their French visitors and Redpath was delighted with their performance.
"It was a great performance," he said. "I'm delighted for the guys because we finished the Heineken Cup in style in front of our own supporters.
"We knew they had picked a big, physical side and we showed them a lot of respect. I thought from one to 23 we were outstanding," he added.
Gloucester's young backline shone in the victory and Redpath has urged them to produce more of the same when they return to Premiership action.
"The Premiership is now our main goal now and we have to take this sort of performance back into that," he explained.
"Northampton here in three weeks' time is a massive game for us now, because the Premiership is so important and to get in that top six. We are up in the top four try-scorers in the Premiership, but we are not playing with as much freedom as we did out there today," said Redpath.
