Tigers pose 'vengeful' threat
The Irish side thumped the Tigers 38-0 at Thomond Park last weekend, but Ryan believes the English outfit are a dangerous beast at Welford Road and will be out to avenge their humiliation last time out.
"They are going to come out to prove a point," he said.
"They didn't have the best game last weekend, we were able to shut them down and it worked out well for us.
"They have an incredible record in the Champions Cup. Welford Road is very similar to Thomond Park as it is a bit of a fortress and the crowd are right on top of the pitch.
"It was great to get the bonus point in the first game, but we know it will be a tough challenge in Leicester."
Ryan was rewarded with a cap for Ireland after a rich run of form at the start of the season. And the front row is relishing the chance to test himself on another big European stage once again.
Munster and Leicester also met in the pool stages of last season's competition, with the Tigers coming out on top on home soil.
"They [Leicester] are a passionate side, but I enjoyed it last year, it was great even though we lost," Ryan said.
"It was a pretty big experience, so I'm looking for the same again and I am sure it will be similar to the weekend we just had."
Ryan has revealed Munster's forwards have been working on their scrum after they lost two put-ins to the Tigers at the weekend.
He said: "They are a big, forward orientated team, and the scrum didn't really go as well for us as we would have liked. They came after us there, so that is an area we will look to improve and an area where they will look to exploit us.
"They'll throw something new at us this weekend, so we'll try and rely on our defence again to have another good performance. It is something we have really worked on this season.
"I think we all enjoy the defensive part of our game, and it's an area we would like to keep building on."
Munster sit top of Pool 1 ahead of their visit to Leicester and the Tigers - in third - must win to keep up their hopes of progressing to the competition's latter stages.
