Young wants Wade on England's radar
The seven-Test speedster, who donned the Red Rose jersey from 2009 to 2010, on Saturday equalled the 16-year-old Premiership record set by Ryan Constable for Saracens against Bedford in 2000 and became only the second player after fellow Wasps wing Tom Voyce to score four tries in one half in the Premiership.
"I think Wadey showed again that he is up there with the best of them," said Young
"He showed everyone once again how deadly he can be - if he's given space, he will finish them off and sometimes even when there's not much space, he'll still score.
"I've said it many times, there are lots of really good wingers around, but as far as I'm concerned he is up there with the best of them - I wouldn't swap him for anybody else."
"Hopefully, it was a timely reminder to Eddie Jones of what he is about."
Wade, who has suffered a number of injuries in his career, put up a knock out performance that was lauded by Young.
"If you put him in any space, he is going to score. He had a couple of run-ins, but he also created a couple of tries himself.
"He has had injuries at probably the worst times over the last couple of seasons," said Young.
It was Wasps' eighth bonus point win of the season and the victory lifted them into second place on the Premiership log.
The coup also guaranteed them their first play-off place since 2008 - the last time they won the title.
Wasps will take on Saracens at Madejski Stadium in the first Champions Cup semi-final on Saturday, with Leicester facing Racing 92 at City Ground on Sunday.
