O'Driscoll laments 'heavy legs'
'We have some way to go yet'
Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll accepted fatigue had got the better of his side in their 37-15 defeat to Australia in Perth.
The tourists, who lost twice to New Zealand on their trip to the southern hemisphere, briefly led 10 minutes into the second half but the Wallabies powered ahead to win comfortably.
"We started well. We wanted to come in strong in the first 10 [minutes of the second half]," said O'Driscoll.
"We fell apart because I think the legs got heavy. I think three weeks of rugby started to take its toll on the boys.
"It shows we have some way to go yet. We did a huge amount of defending in the first half but started well in the second half.
"Perhaps it flattered the Aussies a little bit but they took their chances well."
