Cheika in hot water for prejudicial conduct

NEWS: The Rugby Football Union revealed that Leicester Tigers head coach Michael Cheika will be facing a disciplinary panel on Tuesday.

The former Wallaby head coach is in trouble for 'prejudicial conduct' following his team's Premiership match against Exeter Chiefs on September 21.

In a statement by the RFU, it is alleged that Cheika disrespected the independent matchday doctor.

Leicester won that match 17-14 despite Solomone Kata getting a red card for a dangerous tackle in the 71st minute.

The exact details of Cheika's conduct are still not clear, but it was serious enough for him to get a seat in front of a disciplinary panel.

Leicester Tigers head coach Michael Cheika is due to appear before an independent disciplinary panel for an alleged breach of RFU Rule 5.12 - conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game and/or union - in circumstances where he is alleged to have disrespected the Independent Matchday Doctor following the Exeter Chiefs v Leicester Tigers match on Saturday, September 21.

The hearing will take place on Tuesday, October 1.
