Faf score not enough to save 14-man Sharks

PREMIERSHIP REPORT: Perry Humphreys and Ashley Beck both crossed as Worcester Warriors battled to their third win of the season against 14-man Sale Sharks.

The Sharks led at half-time courtesy of tries from scrumhalf Francois de Klerk – making his return to the top flight after winning the World Cup with South Africa – and wing Chris Ashton.

However, the Sharks were reduced to 14 when flank Jean-Luc du Preez was sent off for a shoulder barge.

A pair of Duncan Weir penalties saw the Warriors reduce the gap to four points at half-time, and they hit back in the second half with Ryan Mills slipping a pass inside for fullback Humphreys to score, before Beck also rumbled over.
