Homer double helps Bath beat Tigers

PREMIERSHIP REPORT: Tom Homer scored two tries as Bath boosted their Premiership semifinal prospects with a narrow 13-10 win against Leicester Tigers.

The fullback crossed for his first try in the fourth minute, diving over in the corner after an advantage was played and the ball worked wide.

Tigers flyhalf Tom Hardwick missed a penalty ten minutes later but booted one through mid-way through the half to reduce the deficit.

Rhys Priestland extended Bath’s lead with a penalty of his own early in the second half but Leicester hit back when scrumhalf Ben White darted over from close range.

Tigers looked set for victory until Homer burst through a couple of tackles and dotted down to score the winning points.
