Injuries disrupt another young star's career

And this time, on-going injuries have forced 25-year-old Mark Jennings to take a sabbatical.

Sale Sharks and Mark Jennings have mutually agreed that the English player will take a sabbatical away from professional rugby for the foreseeable future.

The 25-year-old who has been a member of the Sale Sharks squad for the last eight years, has suffered a number of different injuries throughout his career and after a recent period of convalescence, it has been agreed by both parties that this is the best course of action to take going forward.

On the recent announcement, Jennings said: “I would like to thank Sale Sharks for the opportunity and more importantly the understanding to allow me to fully recover away from the club and hopefully make my return once I am fully fit."

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond also commented, he said “Mark has been a great member of the squad throughout the last eight years and I’d like to thank Mark for his contribution to the club. We wish him well in his recovery process.
