Saints backline quartet pen new deals

Flyhalf Stephen Myler, utility back James Wilson, and centres George Pisi and Tom Stephenson have agreed new contracts with Premiership champions Northampton.

The 30-year-old Myler has made 141 Premiership appearances for the club and amassed 141 1,152 points along the way.

"We're delighted that all four have decided to stay with us and continue their career at the Saints," said director of rugby Jim Mallinder.

"They are all quality players who have shown time and again that they have the ability and composure to compete at the highest level of the sport, and they will remain important members of the squad for years to come."

The lengths of their new contracts have not been disclosed by the club.

Saints have also announced the departure of centre Glenn Dickson, 28, with immediate effect after 14 appearances for the club.

England internationals Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes were among seven Northampton players to sign new deals earlier in December.

Mallinder's side are two points clear of Bath at the top of the Premiership after Saturday's narrow home win over Leicester, having played most of the match with 14 men following hooker Hartley's firsthalf red card.
