Sorenson set to retire

The lock joined Bristol from Northampton Saints in 2013 and has made 82 appearances in the blue and white hoops so far.

Sorenson also represented Newcastle Falcons, before the heading to the Saints in 2010.

Before taking his voyage to Premiership the New Zealander played Bay of Plenty, where he had been voted the team’s best forward in the Air New Zealand Cup.

He was a consistent performer at Kingston Park and won both the Supporters Club player of the season and the players' player of the season award in 2007/8.

Commenting on his decision to retire the 37-year-old said: "It feels like the right time for me to take on a new chapter and retire from the professional game,"
