Garcia banned for foul play

Treviso substitute Gonzalo Garcia has been slapped with a one-week ban for foul play against Scarlets last week.

Garcia appeared at a disciplinary hearing - chaired by Pat Barriscale (Ireland), who was assisted by George Spotswood (Ireland) and Philip Orr (Ireland) - on Wednesday.

He was citing following the Scarlets' 34-20 win over Treviso last Thursday, February 23.

Garcia admitted that he had committed an act of foul play, in contravention of Law 10.4(j).

The disciplinary committee accordingly upheld the citing and imposed a suspension of one week, having deemed that the offence warranted a low entry point.

Garcia is free again to play on Monday, March 5.
