One point win for travelling Gunners

Rob Moffat’s Edinburgh Gunners side scored two second half tries to edge themselves to a 17-16 victory over the Scarlets in their Friday night Magners League clash at the Parc y Scarlets.

The home side led by 8-3 at the break, thanks to a try from Richie Pugh and a Ryan Priestland penalty, but two Edinburgh tries in the third quarter of the match put them ahead.

Friday night victory, temporarily at least, moved the Scottish side back up to the top of the table, on 23 points, but with games involving Leinster, Glasgow and Munster still to come over the course of the weekend they could find that spot under threat.

Trailing 13-17 with a quarter of an hour left the Scarlets drew themselves to within a single points of their visitors thanks to a Stephen Jones penalty but the men from Edinburgh showed some fine determination to hold out for the final ten minutes and record a good away win.
