Scarlets fall at the Firhill Arena
Scotland flyhalf Dan Parks kicked fourteen points for the Warriors as they overcame the Scarlets 19-11 and remained unbeaten after two rounds of the new Magners League season.
The Warriors and the Scarlets both enjoyed success in the first round of the new season last weekend but it just wasn't meant to be for Nigel Davies' men this time around. Losing out on a bonus-point right at the end, the Scarlets boss will be hugely disappointed that his side missed a great opportunity to claim an away win so early in the season.
Sean Lineen on the other hand will be delighted his team made it two from two despite not playing to their full potential on the night.
Both kickers struggled early on, missing two attempts each before Rob Dewey finally opened the scoring with a try on the half hour mark.
First Dan Parks and then Rhys Priestland, both teams first choice kickers missed two early chances.
Dewey's try though quickly forced a response from the Scarlets - just three minutes after Glasgow started the scoring Daniel Evans went over for the visitors.
Priestland missed the conversion attempt but, on the stroke of half time, added a penalty to take the game to the interval with the scores at 8-7 in favour of the Welsh region.
Parks and Priestland exchanged second half penalties before, with 62 minutes gone, the Glasgow playmaker slotted a drop goal to put the Warriors ahead.
With player/coach Simon Easterby sent to the sin-bin on 66 minutes, the Warriors seized the initiative, added two more penalties and edging out the victory 19-11 in front of their home crowd.
