Second half brace sees Ospreys home

Two second  half tries from wings Tommy Bowe and Nikki Walker helped the Ospreys to come from behind and secure a much needed 26-16 Magners League victory over the Glasgow Warriors.

The Warriors dominated the first half, leading 16-6 at the break before a second half revival saw the Welsh region bounce back to secure the points.

Scottish flyhalf Dan Parks started the scoring with two penalties inside the first six minutes before, with nine minutes gone, Dan Biggar got Sean Holley’s men on the board with a drop goal.

Biggar leveled the scores just seven minutes later before, six minutes from the break, debutant David McCall scored the opening try of the match for the hosts. A successful Parks conversion, quickly followed by a drop goal gave the home side a ten point lead at the break.

An early second half penalty from Biggar narrowed the gap but it was Bowe’s try on the hour match which leveled the score.

Another penalty from Biggar put the Ospreys in the lead for the first time in the match before, just two minutes later, Nikki Walker’s try put Scott Johnson’s side well in front with a quarter of an hour left in the game.
