Snyman leaves Bok camp
NEWS: Springbok lock Rudolph Snyman as left the Springbok camp to return to Limerick where he will continue his rehabilitation.
Snyman, who joined the Bok squad at the end of June ahead for the B&I Lions series, has not played since August last year after a suffering a knee (ACL) injury in his Pro14 debut for Munster.
He was course to return to action in May before he suffered a setback with his knee.
The 26-year-old was then involved in a fire-pit accident, which left him and teammate Damian de Allende with burns.
Snyman required a skin graft, while De Allende's injuries were more superficial.
"RG Snyman has returned to the province to continue his rehab from a skin graft procedure and knee injury," said a statement from Munster on Friday.
With Snyman's return to Limerick, it means he will not be involved in the Boks' upcoming Rugby Championship fixtures against Argentina in Port Elizabeth (August 14 and August 21).
South Africa will begin the Australasian leg of their Rugby Championship campaign with a match against the Wallabies on September 11.
