From the same match, Alberto de Marchi, the Treviso loose head prop forward, has been cited by an independent Citing Commissioner for an alleged late and dangerous "lifting" tackle in the second half.

The independent Citing Commissioner at the Leinster v Edinburgh match at the RDS on Friday has cited two players for alleged foul play: Fergus McFadden of Leinster for an alleged dangerous tackle in the 38th minute of the second half and Philip Burleigh, the Edinburgh centre, for alleged contact with the eye area of an opponent in the 13th minute of the first half of the match.

Disciplinary hearings for all four players will be held later this week.
